Arctic Hive

Imagine...you've finally carved out time to turn off all technology and dedicate a week to tune in with yourself and your needs — you can breathe deep for the first time in a long time. There's no pressure to be someone, or do anything in particular. You've got a schedule of exciting activities at your fingertips... or you can hang back and just... be.

After arriving in Fairbanks and staying one night in a hotel there, our retreat begins at the Arctic Hive, which is located in Brooks Range , 63 miles above the arctic circle outside of the tiny village of Wiseman. From the village, the property is hike-in access only.

Arctic Hive is a remote off-grid backcountry retreat center with three cozy cabins and a fiberglass igloo common area. It sits between two major protected wilderness areas of Alaska's Brooks Range—Gates of the Arctic National Park and Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

There are three 12x12 cabins to keep you cozy warm, all have mountain views in every direction, and plenty of windows to see the wild landscape and the northern lights! Each cabin will be home to two or three retreat attendees in their own twin or double beds (depending on the cabin).

All cabins are off-grid, heated with Swedish Nordic oil stoves that keep the space warm and cozy, with solar/battery powered lighting with inverter batteries for charging small devices. There is no cell phone reception from the cabins — although we do have access to service for emergencies, and for those who may need to check in with home once and a while.

Mornings will be spent in the yoga dome, where Mandy will guide you through a yoga class unlike anything you've experienced before; as you open your eyes from your cushion, you take in the incredible snow-capped peaks of the Brooks Mountain Range through the massive bay window.  Afterward, we will wander down the trail to a cup of piping hot, organic coffee and a plant-based breakfast.

During our 3 days and 3 nights together, your chill time will be seasoned with a healthy dose of outdoor adventures, cultural immersions in the village of Wiseman, and daily yoga designed to meet you where you're at.

Fairbanks

After our Arctic Hive adventure, we will head back to Fairbanks for two nights. I'm sure we will all welcome a hot shower, and I bet we will all spend quite a bit of time in the hot tubs!

We will be staying in two different cabins at the Alaska Adventure Lodge. These are definitely not rustic, but stay true to the Alaskan experience. Equipped with luxurious linens, sauna/shower, and, as aforementioned, hot tubs, we will truly be embroacing this next part of the retreat.

The only group activity during this time will be a walk with the reindeer at Running Reindeer Ranch. We will take an immersive walk through a magical birch forest with reindeer! Otherwise, you can choose to stay in and relax or head into the city for shopping and dining.

Investment

Though this is truly an epic trip, I don't want this to be an epic monetary investment, hence why there are a lot of add-on options. The Arctic Hive cabins can accommodate 2-3 people, and though it will be a bit more cramped with 3, it will bring the cost down for those of you who choose to share. There are a total of 10 spots for this retreat.

Cost for 2 person cabin: $2100/person - SOLD OUT

Cost for 3 person cabin: $1785/person - SOLD OUT
